Today, July 2, 2024, I had the honor of declaring open the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Program (MCPDP) of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN). The event, held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Yola, focused on the theme “Sustainable Accounting and Economic, Social, and Governance Reporting.”
This program is an essential step towards enhancing the professional standards and practices of accountants in Nigeria. Sustainable accounting and comprehensive reporting are crucial for fostering transparency, accountability, and long-term economic stability. I commend ANAN for organizing this significant event and am confident that it will contribute greatly to the professional development of accountants in Adamawa State and beyond.
